Dale:
I will ask some of our experts if there are any that stand out to them.

For those of us who are in our sixties, we are going to blink and be in our 80s. Clearly it is time to start exercising (tai chi chuan, as you know, works for me)eating properly, getting enough sleep etc. etc.

Oh yes, if you smoke....STOP!!!

Hello,
I'm seeking out one or two good books that would give me an overview on the various components when considering how to safely age in place. We visited close friends over the holidays (wife is 70, husband is 80). I suddenly realized that their home is an accident waiting to happen.
I appreciate any recommendations.
Thank you. Dale...

Hopefully this type of home care can be universally providing.

It is too often that home care is provided when there is an extreme urgency and the family caregivers are relieved to get care on an immediate basis.

Home health care providers who are not accredited...eg aides must be very carefully screened: they must have references checked, a traceable home phone and address, and, most importantly, a government issued identification card....a driver's lisence or a passport etc.

I just wanted to tell everyone how pleased I am with Freedom Home Health. It has been almost a year since they have been helping my Dad. Their dedication and knowledge makes me reassured that they are taking only the best care of my father. He has developed a great friendship with his occupational therapist and I know he is always in the best hands. I highly suggest Freedom Home Health Care for any home health needs. http://www.freedomhomehealth.com

A very close friend past away last week. One of his friends, an American Indian, said that in his culture there was no "hell" in afterlife. It is their believe that when life on earth is complete, passing on means you are going home.

Our cultural prepares us for all the legal and health issues facing us at the end of our time. But it does very little to instruct and prepare us for the final end when our spirit leaves our temporal housing.
No one ever really talks about "Coming Death" we skirt the issue and hide our heads in the sand hoping it won't happen to me but it does and how you prepare for it will determine how pleasant or unpleasant your exit from this earth will be.
